1960's Christmas Movies: 4 Classic Cartoons

With upbeat music, colorful pictures and memorable characters, the 1960's Christmas films are quite entertaining to watch!

Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, premiered in 1964 as an animated Television particular. Rudolph becomes an outcast Even though every person discovers his uncommon red nose. He runs away with fellow misfit Hermey the elf who desires to be a dentist. Rudolph ultimately wins the heart of his girlfriend, loved ones and Santa himself While he saves Christmas from a blinding snowstorm with his vibrant shiny nose. Burl Ives narrates and sings some of the songs.

The following year A Charlie Brown Christmas brought the characters of the favourite Sunday comic strip to life on the modest screen. Charlie Brown finds the commercialism of Christmas disheartening as even his dog competes for the flashiest doghouse. Linus teaches his close friends a lesson about the origins of Christmas as he quotes the manger story from the Bible. Original music by Vince Guaraldi complements classic Christmas carols.

Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas was subsequent in 1966. In the tradition of the classic Dickens Scrooge character, the Grinch is imply, nasty and most of all hates Christmas. He has a dastardly program to steal the vacation from a village of "Who's" in the valley close to his cave-like household. The mixture of Dr. Seuss's text, animation by the legendary Chuck Jones, original songs, and Boris Karloff's narration created this an immediate classic.

Ultimately the decade came to a close with Frosty the Snowman in 1969. The story focused additional on winter rather than the vacation itself and appealed to a younger audience. When not commonly as very regarded by currently's audiences, this cartoon was particular for its time.
